Stitch and Mix -
is a Textile Arts Group that formed around a group of students who met whilst doing City & Guilds textile courses at Derby College in 2004. They did not want to lose touch with each other and met to share their ideas and view each other’s work for some time, and then felt that the common aim of an exhibition would keep the group focused. Their first exhibition, ‘The Derwent Valley and its Heritage Trail’, was in Cromford Mill in May 2009, and was a great success. A second one at the same venue is being planned for May 2011. This time the theme will be ‘High Days and Holidays’.
