Maggie Morris
Maggie has lived in Derbyshire for more than 30 years and has had a lifelong interest in all types of crafts. Before leaving London in the early 70s, she attended classes to study embroidery, sculpture and art, but she feels her true talents lie in all forms of embroidery. Whilst completing her City & Guilds Diploma Diploma in Design and Craft (Embroidery) at Derby College she mastered many techniques, including hand and machine embroidery, felt making and weaving. Her work is characterised by bright colours and creative pattern making. She works mainly with abstract designs using hand or machine embroidery.
